Glazing agents also known as polishing agents are food additives that provide a shiny appearance or protective layer to the product. [1]

Most glazing agents are based on natural waxes such as beeswax, carnauba wax but can also be made from artificial waxes such as Crystalline wax which are produced from de-oiling petrolatum. [1,2]
