What is Grapefruit?
Grapefruit is a citrus fruit that looks similar to an orange, yellow on the outside and red on the inside. [1]
The fruit was first documented in 1750 by the Rev. Griffith Hughes describing specimens from Barbados. It was brought to Florida by Odette Philippe in 1823. [1]
