Hydrogenated Protein

What is Hydrogenated Protein?

Hydrogenated protein is protein that has been hydrogenated. Hydrogenation is the process where hydrogen atoms are put in place of the double bonds between carbon atoms in fat molecules.

Hydrogenated protein may be listed as partially hydrogenated. The word "Partially" indicates that only some, but not all of the double bonds have been replaced, while as hydrogenated or fully hydrogenated means all of the double bonds have been replaced.
